The Canadian market for research peptides has grown quickly, and so has the number of suppliers. Prices are only part of the picture. For a laboratory, the quality of the material and the documentation behind it matter far more, because an impure or under-filled vial can quietly invalidate weeks of work. This guide covers what to check before ordering research peptides in Canada.
1. Independent third-party testing
The single most useful signal is a lab report from an independent analytical laboratory, not a certificate produced by the manufacturer itself. Look for:
- The name of the testing lab, so you can verify it exists and what it tests.
- HPLC purity, usually reported as a percentage.
- Measured content per vial (for example, how many milligrams were actually found in a vial labelled 10 mg).
- A test date and a batch or lot reference, so the report can be matched to what you receive.

2. Reports that are current and easy to find
A single report from years ago says little about today’s stock. Reliable suppliers publish reports openly, keep them dated and add new ones as new batches arrive. Ordering from a supplier that holds stock in Canada avoids customs delays, border holds and long transit times in which temperature is not controlled. Be cautious with prices far below the market: synthesis and testing have real costs, and unusually cheap material is often under-filled or impure.
6. Proper packaging and labelling
Each vial should state the compound, the amount per vial and the research-use-only warning, and arrive sealed with an intact cap. A clean, consistent label is a small detail, but it makes inventory and record-keeping in the lab much easier.
